The ground breaking telefantasya of 2004 Encatadia will be back with more exciting story and amazing special effects this 2010 with the working title Encantadia: The Second Saga. The question now, who will reprise the role of the four Sangres, Amihan, Pirena, Danaya and Alena? Rumor is that GMA7 princesses, Jennylyn Mercado, Rhian Ramos, Isabel Oli and Carla Abellana are considering for these roles.
In the teaser released by GMA in theaters on Christmas Day and during the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival run, another sequel of Encantadia is set for 2010 and it has a tentative title Encantadia: Isang Bagong Mundo. The title in the teaser, however, says “Encantadia: The Second Saga.” The images are blurred which means there’s no confirmed cast yet for the said fantaserye. But according to reports, GMA is eyeing for Rhian Ramos, Carla Abellana, Jennylyn Mercado and Jackie Rice for the ’sanggre’ roles. Iza Calzado (the original Amihan) or Claudine Barretto will play the role of Ynang Reyna.
